I first started in voiceovers in the 1990s and have worked on commercials for radio and TV, corporate and training videos for local and multinational companies and TV game show announcements. So whether you are selling quality products like exclusive cars, whisky or fine chocolate; looking for a sensitive and appealing documentary narration; wishing to establish trust for your services; or needing an announcer for your event, I can help you deliver your message to the people who matter to you. I carried out my initial certificated training delivered by a Scottish company called Classic Video Productions and then went on to record voice-overs for them and other production companies and broadcasters. I believe in the importance of continuous development and I subscribe to ongoing mentoring from world famous voice-over actor Peter Dickson through his company Gravy for the Brain. I have my own recording and post production facilities, using equipment from Red 5 Audio, PreSonus, Audio-Technica and HP. I can deliver material in raw untreated format or in a finished state after EQ, compression and normalization (.wav or .mp3 files) as required. Live direction can be carried out by phone or ipDTL I am a multi-award winning performer of the spoken word, specialising in the works of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns. I travel the world as a speaker on Burns and performing his poetry. I was brought up in a community where the oral culture of storytelling was still vibrant as a means of communication between generations and I am a member of the Scottish Storytelling Network.
