By trade. I am a speech therapist who loves to travel. I have worked with children for over 19 years. In that time I have narrated over 200 books to keep their focus and show them the correct sound production as well as keep their interest to retell the story.
Recently I was sent a list of scripts to use for auditions, so you will see them in the demo listings.
For years, I have had people leave requests on my voice mail for me to be the voice on their voice mail.
Communicative Sciences and Disorders - Hampton University
This degree is for a Speech Language Pathologist.
I do have easy access to a studio here in Atlanta.
My home mic is a perception mic by AKG.
As a speech therapist I have read over 200 books to children, many times more than once to different groups. This allows for character voice development for students to identify with the character more readily for story retell or to identify when correct sound production is present. When evaluating a student many times I find recording my reading to be helpful in keeping their focus off the taping and on the responses for a complete evaluation. So when I transcribe a student, my voice is right there.
I have taught public speaking skills for over 15 years to a variety of students.
I have also prepared artists for presenting on radio to ensure listeners can connect with the artist in both tone and level of language delivery for a smooth professional presentation.
As a speech pathologist, I have a trained ear for discerning the emotion to match the level of delivery, and work to make sure that and any corrections needed are delivered when presented.
I have also narrated video for rewards programs for South Cobb High Schools Regal Eagle Program (2006-2008).
