I got my start with voice work as a classical radio announcer in the early 1990's. I figured out pretty quickly that my pronunciations of foreign composers and conductors was a mere springboard to creating radio spots for coffee houses and concerts using character voices (college dude, high school boy, secret agent boss, cowboy, pop-culture characters, authority figure, etc.) I then moved on to work as an audio engineer for concerts & corporate events where the need for live voice talent arises regularly. Beyond that I have spent time in studios and my own voiceover iso booth making professional VO's to a high standard.
I followed my aptitudes and went to college to study music, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree. This became a strong foundation for my career in the music business that has developed since. I studied voice with one of the best choral conductors in the field and began my education in the recording field. Following college, I played in a touring rock band, I've produced CD's, I've directed video at many large concerts, and I have produced high profile events. Much of my work has been closely associated with broadcast media. I believe that hard work and persistence are necessary to best develop an individual's skill sets.
I am a recording engineer and I have all of the appropriate software & hardware to make a finished project sound great.
I am equally comfortable on both sides of the glass in a recording studio. My first job out of college was in a studio, and that was also where I was asked to do my first voiceover. I have worked countless shows in the music business and event industry in a variety of roles, each requiring perceptive client skills and a focused mindset.
