Amanda has recorded over 120 recorded books, and in the industry by way of being obsessed with audiobooks along with having a flair and passion of performance.
Amanda is All-American Southern girl from East Tennessee. She grew up as a tennis playing, football loving, musical theater/show choir girl. She is a sports fan and loves watching football, baseball, and basketball (Go Vols!) She was the girl that excelled at school, but had the soul of a performer and was involved in musical theater, and show choir. Amanda then attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and then moved to Nashville after graduating in Political Science and Broadcasting. She worked in the non-profit sector for the American Heart Association before becoming a narrator. As the Youth Market Director for the state, she worked with schools on childhood obesity, nutrition, and physical activity. She is married and a proud mom to boy and girl twins, after suffering for several years of infertility.
She has a General American accent, but can use her natural southern accent as well. Her vocal range spans from teen, to young adult, to middle aged with ease, and she has a versatility that has allowed her to narrate a wide variety of books ranging from horror to historical fiction to cozy mystery/romantic comedy to young adult fantasy. She is the girl next door, with a couple of extra fireworks! She is smart, funny, and sarcastic. She will love you fiercely and is the girl you can bare your soul to, but will also laugh herself silly if you trip and fall in her presence.
She absolutely adores books, and is a big believer of books evoking emotions when they are supposed to. You pick a book to learn something or to feel something: love, fear, joy, grief, anger...or a little mix of all of the above. She has always considered herself the main heroine in books, so why shouldn't so why shouldn't she live it? Coached with Emily Lawrence, Andi Arndt, and Carol Monda.
