My Voice Experience

A few months ago, I started hosting trivia at bars. Nothing special, couple times a week for extra cash. Growing up, I always enjoyed performing, but I never thought my voice was all that special, so I didn't use it. However, ever since I started emceeing, people approach me all the time saying what a great voice I have and that I should look into voice work. Well, still, that wasn't enough to propel me to start looking for work until a buddy of mine decided to cast me in his audio drama as one of the main characters. It was the first time I had done any professional voiceover work. The audio drama was a challenge, to say the least. The character was a teenager who participated in tabletop role playing games, something I had never done in my life, let alone as a teenager. Still, by the end of the recording session, I felt like I had done something special, something really exciting. Something I enjoyed and wanted to keep doing.
