Voice Description

For my animation work, I base voices off already existing celebrity voices, but manipulate them in a way that makes them totally original and fitting to any project. For commercials, I have a warm, slightly deep voice that brings reassurance in the products or services I am advertising. I also use a deeper voice for my narrations, in the vein of the great Morgan Freeman.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can do British, Irish, Russian, Romanian (namely in a Dracula-esque dialect), Middle Eastern, and elder Jewish accents. I can perform impersonations of celebrities such as Bruce Willis, Hugh Laurie (in both American and British accents), Jeremy Irons, Morgan Freeman, Robin Williams (serious and non), and many more. I can also impersonate already existing cartoon characters such as Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny, SpongeBob Squarepants, and many more.

My Voice Experience

As of right now, I only have one actual voice-over appearance to my name, which was in the Griddlecakes Radio episode "Podenstein", which was co-produced by RoneyZone Productions. In the radio play, I voiced the character of Newsman Gary, who I played in a very nasal style which, while not what the producers were expecting, did add a touch of extra humor to the production (their words, not mine). Aside from that, I have previous microphone experience in that I produced my own podcast back in 2006 in which I interviewed fellow voice actors Unknown Hinson, Grey DeLisle, and Erin Fitzgerald called "Behind the Mic" on TalkShoe.

My Training

I'm a self-taught voice actor, whose only training has come from books such as "Talkin' Funny for Money", Joan Baker's "Secrets of Voice-Over Success", and Gary Owens' "How to Make a Million Dollars With Your Voice". Other than that, I've learned the old-fashioned way: by observing professional voice actors through the use of YouTube.

My Studio Equipment

In my studio, I use a NADY USB-1C USB Condenser Microphone plugged directly into my HP Pavilion desktop computer. My recordings can be done on a wide variety of recording software, ranging from high-end applications such as Adobe Audition and Cakewalk Sonar to low-end open source apps like Audacity. All my mixing is done using the software, including compression, equalization, use of a Limiter, and many other key operations in audio engineering.

Additional Skills

In addition to creating likable and realistic character voices, I can also sing and play guitar. I can also talk from the back of my throat, creating eerie monster noises.
