About Stan

My voice comes across as sincere and regular. Guy next door.
Also, funny eccentrics, neurotics and ethnic type accents, especially good at the ethnic type called "Brooklyner."
Currently creating voice-over characters for an independent storytelling audio disc.
Producer/Musician:
Kevin Salem for Monster Records, Road Runner Records

Taught performance and art in a Brooklyn high school for special education. And yes, I did those characters as well (the students) although never in a saracstic manner.
Studied acting with William Hickey at Herb Berghoff Studios NYC
Studied voice over with Peter Rofe at PDR.
Continue to attend workshops at PDR reading for industry voiceover talent agents and casting directors.
As a teacher for twenty years, I used my voice as creatively as possible to get through to my students. I also trained and coached them in school performances.
I have been a visual artist and worked on animation. I see the voice as another tool to create character, there is a strong connection between graphic gesture and voice gesture, they both transcribe or abstract the human "live" expression.
