Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I'm originally from Scotland, so can do a variety of different Scottish dialects, as well as English and Irish accents. I can do a variety of American regional dialects, too.

My Voice Experience

I've been doing commercial voiceovers for more than 30 years, primarily in San Diego, but in markets from Anchorage to New York City. I've represented the San Diego Padres, Mammoth Mountain, San Diego Children's Hospital, On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina and many other commercial clients. I'm currently doing the narration in national TV infomercials for Temp-tations Presentable Overware, one of the best selling houseware lines in America, and Focus Education, an innovative learning system that helps children excel through developing memory, retention and focus skills. I currently host on camera features at the San Diego CBS affiliate called "Profiles in Local Business", a series of on-camera videos for Leaf Filter, one of the country's leading home improvement systems, and on-camera video introductions for a seminar series hosted by a prominent national financial planning speaker.

My Studio Equipment

I use an AKG Perceptor 400 microphone, Yamaha MW-10C mixer and Adobe Audition. I have easy access to studios with ISDN capabilities.

Additional Skills

In addition to being a voiceover artist, I'm also an experienced commercial copywriter, and have written a variety of magazine and newspaper articles, advertisements and advertorial copy. I currently write topical features and headline news for a financial planning talk show. I also do a variety of on-camera work in San Diego and can travel to studios in Los Angeles and elsewhere as needed.
