My Voice Experience

I was always told as a young lad that I had a voice for radio (at least they didn't say face, right?). My voice experience started in elementary school with school and local theater productions.
I grew up watching some great (and not so great cartoons) and was constantly trying to emulate them. And, since I had no friends I had plenty of time to talk to myself and learn to manipulate my voice.
By the time I was a teenager I had already done some stage work, not only acting but singing as well. At that point I took a shot a being a club DJ and party host. Those jobs grew into emceeing gigs and ultimately a job in radio.
I got my start in radio later in life (2003, in my 30's) at WCFX-fm, a Top 40/Hot AC station in Mt.Pleasant Michigan as a weekend host. In just two short years I became the CFX "News-guy" and co-host of the CFX Breakfast Flakes Morning Show and also mid-day host.
In my job I also write and produce commercial and promotional spots; and many times I have been nominated for Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) awards.

My Training

I started you doing small stage plays and musicals. That grew to professional announcing and emceeing. From there I went into radio; where I have been with the same radio station, 95.5 WCFX-fm for the past 9 years.

My Studio Equipment

As a radio professional I have access to many types of professional equipment. Normally I work with Adobe Pro and Saw Plus for audio editing and I use Behringer and Shure studio mics.
All of my voice work is run through multiple compressors for a very professional sound.
I am able to record and edit MP3 and WAV files and can do dry or fully produced voice work.

Additional Skills

I still Emcee events all over the central Michigan area from weddings to concert promotions along with my regular radio gig.
As a professional announcer, copy writer and voice artist I am also very serious about proper grammar and enunciation.
Silly or serious, fun or fancy I can make your product stand out.
