My Voice Experience

Growing up in Massachusetts my friends and I would watch cartoons every afternoon and try to impersonate the voices, and we made tapes of ourselves being absolutely ridiculous, which listening to them now is pretty accurate. As I got older, I would run impressions of famous people by my parents, and would get really good feedback. Today, I'm a math and science tutor, and in order to keep the kids paying attention I will sometimes switch my dialects in mid-lesson multiple times to keep things interesting and see which ones they like.

I've never done anything in the professional realm, but creating and impersonating has been one of my favorite activities for my entire life (not to mention hearing others do them), and I would LOVE to see what I can do to help somebody's project or vision. One of those childhood friends recently died, and he loved voices almost as much as I do, so this is a tribute to him as well.

My Training

No workshops

No related degrees (except for lots of practice impersonating extremely boring teachers and professors)

No official training

Just years and years of entertaining my family, friends and clients and having them begging for more

(UCLA, '03 Math/Econ is my official degree)

My Studio Equipment

I own a MacBook Pro laptop, with GarageBand installed on it. I also have a built-in microphone.

I am extremely willing to learn about equipment traditionally used in professional voice acting.

Additional Skills

I love working with kids of all ages and really enjoy interacting with people of all ages and making them happy, either by making them laugh or simply having a conversation. I also love learning and learning about what makes people do the things they do and want the things they want.
