Here is my bio:
In 1963, the heavens parted and a multitude of angels (the celestial beings, not the L.A. baseball team) announced Trevor's arrival to this world with a chorus of trumpets over Santa Monica, California (probably). He grew up in a big family where he realized loud, cramped environments suited him just fine, so he went and got himself married with six kids of his own. His youngest is now only a few months away from gaining legal access to lottery tickets and chewing tobacco, which is terrifying, and his oldest can officially throw down a fifty at Avis and take out a rental vehicle, which is irrelevant.
While he's obviously always enjoyed listening to himself speak, Trevor's trek to the voice over world took a few detours. At 19, he went on a two-year mission to Chile where he became fluent in Spanish. And at 26, he graduated from CSUN with a degree in business administration, which is weird because he's always had a zero tolerance policy for anything boring. Shortly thereafter, he took a career evaluation test that confirmed what literally anyone else could have told him: "Business? Seriously?"
Post-college, Trevor worked as a licensed private investigator for ten years; a field far less action-packed than the media would have you believe (*cough*glorifieddataentry*cough*). And after dying inside at a desk for nearly a decade, he abandoned ship to make a living off his photography skills; a hobby he'd entertained since childhood. Photography eventually led to Macintosh computers and Macintosh computers led to editing. As the ever-avid tech junkie, it's safe to say that Trevor's humility and devastating good looks were the only thing to spare him from bullies in grade school.
Trevor's now 14+ years in the entertainment industry have granted him invaluable experience as an editor. He's worked on countless TV spots and trailers for major motion pictures, and he's done it all in a form-fitting t-shirt. He currently puts the "G" in "PG", working on Disney films and cutting promotional pieces for Disney Channel and Disney XD among others.
As an editor, Trevor got to record tons of scratch narration, which only further fanned the bonfire of his love for voice over. After a little research, he found that while vocally seducing himself was easy enough, actually getting work would require a tad more effort. He then sought out and received extensive training from two of the best coaches in the industry, Marcie Tobias and Nancy Wolfson.
He's now landed jobs that the mullet-sporting, ten-year-old Trevor with a tape recorder and faux radio station would never have dreamed. He's narrated audiobooks, voiced spots for feature films, and even played "(Sexy) Cop #1" in an Alvin and the Chipmunks commercial.
When he's not working, Trevor likes to eat ice cream and complain about his BMI. He's a licensed pilot, certified SCUBA diver and poor decision-maker when it comes to racing heavy machinery...basically an accident-prone adrenaline junkie with the titanium screw in his wrist to prove it. He's also a social butterfly that takes his hobby to the gym six days a week. The people there know him as that hyper-friendly dude in a tank top that gets around to lifting weights when his ADHD allows.
I have a Bachelor's degree from CSUN.
I've worked in the entertainment industry for 15 years.
I've trained with four of the best coaches in the industry, Marice Tobias, Nancy Wolfson Pat Fraley and David Goldberg.
