My Voice Experience
My path to voice over work has come through my experience as an actor, discouvering new ways to utilize my talents.
I have: years of work as an actor in stage plays, commercials, television and film.
Most recently I have voiced a realistic sounding train engineer that will be used for model trains bought by hobbyists. I was a sleepy customer in a commercial for The Brick Warehouse and performed narration for a 15 minute educational online video, "The Hidden Water". I've also voiced characters for an animation series produced by Panacea Entertainment: Anash and the Legacy of the Sun rock; Daxa (old Indian Shaman), Zebe (young Indian slavetrader), a Russian Sailor and a soldier.
I've also worked for an animation company (Chinook Animation - 2004/05)that deals mostly in Japanese Anime, doing the voices for various bad guys, young and older.
I won the lead role of Char Aznable in Zeta Gundam, a very large Anime franchise, as well known amongst anime fans as much as Star Trek. This job lasted a good year and a half, working on mic, performing the more difficult task of cartoon voice over work, ADR.
Currently I am performing "The Dark Lord and Zakenna"(a conjured monster of the Dark Lord) for Pretty Cure and "Barda" a sword wielding soldier and protector of a young King on a quest in "Deltora Quest". Both of these are still with Chinook Animation.
Also I've done some creature voices for a video game by Bioware; (goblins, a dragon as Jeremy Irons, an Arab father) Baldur's Gate 2; Throne of Bhaal. My last project with Bioware was performing voices on Mass Effect 3.
Through this work I met a young woman,Deb Munro, who taught courses in voice over. I've gotten one job through her so far for a "Learning English" project for Oriental students.
Through my own Acting agent I have obtained work as a narrator for a Safety video designed for the Edmonton area in which I live.
My vast experience as an actor has been in both drama and comedy, so I have the abilites to bring you a serious professional performance, or all the way across the spectrum to an energetic comedic experience.
