My Voice Experience
I was a member of an agency called "Speak" for several years until their demise 2 years ago.
I did several jobs for them every year, mainly straight English narrative.
These included a major radio campaign for the UK Post Office and several short presentations for CNN news
Late 80s, Workshops with Ashley Parnell, an excellent voice and performance coach; the Living Art with Robert Fritz, author of "The Path Of Least Resistance"
1500 gigs in the last 10 years fronting my own band as lead singer and guitarist.
My Studio Equipment
I have a Mac G5 running Logic Pro, through an outboard Mackie 24/8/2 desk. I record all aspects of music "at home": Live drums(Yamaha Studio kit) guitars; keys and vocals.
My "drum sound" was praised by former Rolling Stones producer Chris Kimsey, and Former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman described my album "Bleggae" as "Excellent. Best I've heard for some time". All recorded in my "garage".
For vocals, sung or spoken, I use an AKG 414, or a chinese valve mic(far cheaper than a Neumann, but to my ears better than the AKG)
I earn my money as a performer, fronting my band
"Jamside Up" as lead singer and guitarist.
Blues In Britain magazine describe it as a "Breathtaking, hugely entertaining fusion of Blues and Reggae."
