serious, sexy, oddball women, girl next door,
As a teacher for 24 years, I often read novels to my students and specialize in character voices. I also have a very serious, sensual voice I can use, or a zany voice for ditzy or comical characters. I also have a good "presentation" voice that I used as a speaker at many conferences. I have done many impersonations of famous females as part of my birthday roast presentations. I can do Southern accents, Eastern seaboard accents, and Minnesota or upper Michigan accents. I have a lot of theater experience as a variety of characters who were a wide range of ages. I once won a television contest by impersonating Gilda Radner's character, Roseanne Roseannadanna.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Southern as in all characters in Steel Magnolias, Jersey, Upper Michigan (Upers), overbearing Jewish mother, dumb blonde, Sarah Palin, anything Gilda Radner did on SNL, annoying teens, bitch, British, redneck, I can sound just like the narrator in the movie To Kill a Mockingbird. I can also sound like "every woman" to appeal to women who are considering buying a product. I can impersonate Nancy Grace to a tee.
My Voice Experience
I have never been paid for anything I have done, much to my chagrin, but have been doing voices for most of my life. Through theater, making videos for entertainment at work, entering video contests, appearing on public television as a pitch woman for donations, reading the announcements on television for our school system, doing humorous sketches as a variety of women in my birthday message delivery business, speaking to teenagers at yearbook conventions, and teaching kids to have compelling and interesting voices in my speech class - all of these experiences have taught me to use my voice. My whole life people have told me that I need to be paid for my tremendous ability to entertain with my voice, so I am finally taking the steps to do so.
English and Communications major in college, including reader's theater, film communication, public speaking, and broadcasting. I created many instructional videos for different courses I took, and taught speech for 23 years. I took a voice over class this past winter at a community college near me. I have performed in many theatrical productions, including "Godspell" and "Once Upon a Mattress". I have taught yearbook production for 13 years and have run our broadcasting station at our school for 15 years.
My Studio Equipment
There is a recording studio in my town where local bands make their demo tapes. I have access to this studio at all times. The guy who runs it, just completed courses in Florida in music production, and rents his facility to musicians by the hour. He has produced three of his own CD's in this facility. I do not have equipment in my own home. This studio is 7 miles from me.
I am available at all times and am anxious to kick start this career. I believe that I have the talent to take on most any kind of project whether it is being the voice for instructional videos (my teaching voice), or doing characters in video games, or being the voice in most any type of commercial. I am also very interested in doing audio books as I have the most experience in this area. I have held a roomful of teenagers totally captive with my reading of a variety of types of poetry, short stories, and novels. I know how to hold my audience's attention by using inflection, pausing, tonal variety, and volume variety. My public speaking skills have been honed for 24 years as I presented information to six classes a day and also taught large audiences of 300 when I would present at yearbook conferences.
