Aussie, Rich, Warm
Young, fresh Aussie talent - it's bonza mate!!
I have a resonant Australian male voice - mellow, friendly and versatile, clear and easy to listen to. My accent is noticeable though not naturally heavy, meaning a classic Australian read can be delivered while maintaining audibility suitable for varying audiences. However, it can be easily varied in thickness to suit, ranging from light though obvious through to the iconic Australian 'ocker' accent.

My Voice Experience
I have performed at a number of public speaking events, preparing at delivering my own material spanning formal speeches through to comical presentations and impromptu performances.
For three (recent) years I was the President of a major Australian sporting club where I would address patrons at event gatherings, as well as plan and deliver monthly and annual general meetings. I have delivered a number of 'best man' speeches at weddings (one of them is even floating around on YouTube, so it MUST be good...), and I'll even admit to the odd karaoke number here and there :) In a work-capacity, I facilitate and conduct meetings on a daily basis which exercises my diction, pace/pitch variation and overall vocal skills.
In early 2011 I instigated my professional voice over career by attending a session of the "Gary Terzza VoMasterClass" (I worked with Gary himself). In this session I read and recorded four separate voice over tracks which have been professionally edited and uploaded to this site as demos of my talent.
My Studio Equipment
I have set up a voice recording facility in my house, comprised of a professional quality microphone, pro-studio acoustic screening, pop shield, headphones, and a computer-based digital audio workstation. I use Audacity for initial recordings and editing, and various Nero tools for fine tuning, effects and burning to disc. I have used this equipment to record a number of short ad-hoc voice over pieces which I have edited myself to a high quality. I am very technically competent, am fluent in the use of editing tools, and understand the role they play in developing a professional and exciting recording.
I am a talented speaker and communicator - articulate, vocally adept, highly socially interactive and quick-witted. I have a great sense of humour (yeah, don't we all) but my strength lies in my delivery and my ability to adapt to an audience. I inject uniqueness and a sense of character that people immediately warm to.
I have an interest in media work, specifically video editing. I have a small volume of video work and am keen to expand my knowledge in the field through courses and integration with my voice over work. I believe the quality of my work comes through my innate creativity, ever-present attention to detail, perseverance, and a desire to produce something unique and fun. I have strong writing skills and enjoy writing in a creative sense, though I write more formally as part of my day-to-day work as a project manager.
I'm also interested in gaining experience in radio broadcasting, an environment where I feel I would enjoy combining my voice talent with my creative and comical edge.
Although still new to voice over work, I believe I already have a good understanding of the industry, the challenges it presents and the rewards it can offer. It's a journey I'm excited to take.
