Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I am excellent with imitation. Play me a recording and I will imitate it exactly. I can read mouths and present voices for live action - mimicking the on camera mouth movement perfectly with sound, as though it came from the person talking. I have been paid a lot of money to do this!! :) I can do a variety of accents - but specialize in accent work sounding cartoon-like. As for radio or television, I can do different american dialects with no problem, and can give a convincing British accent as well.

My Voice Experience

I do voices for 26 different characters on the cartoon "Casper the Friendly Ghost, Casper Goes to Scare School" which is currently playing on the Cartoon Network. I am in all 52 episodes of the first season.

I have done over 25 national radio commercials, as well as many animated television commercials. (DSW - Designer Shoe Warehouse, My Little Pony, Cuddle Duds, CVS, etc.)

I was the voice of "The Six-Flags Hero" for the entire 2010 summer

I play one out of only two female characters (Muskrat) in the male dominated cast of the new video game "Top Gun" being released by Pit Stop Games in Feb. 2012

I'm also many many characters in the last 6 video game releases by Wadget Eye Games, the popular PC computer game company, including the lead character called Hero, which is a young boy robot.

My Training

in 2005 a friend called me (his name is Lloyd Floyd, I'm sure his Demo is on this site) and said - I got you an audition. It's a voice over audition, it's for a Princess Zara Doll being sold in Great Britain and South Africa. The dvd they're selling with the doll is of her real life story.

I did the audition and ended up booking Zara's mother, grandmother, best friend, hand maiden, and even one of her attempted kidnappers' voices.

A month later, the producer from the Zara doll called me and asked me read for a bit part - a rabbit - who curiously wanders around and makes fun noises in the 9 DVD series of Hooked on Phonics. I booked the rabbit, AND the narrator on all 9 DVD's.

Ever since 2005 my career has hit a massive streak of luck and good fortune. I now spend most of my time doing voice over work! When I was in college I got serious Microphone training with a music company i toured with for 3 years - and i think that helped in my professionally based Mic technique now. I have a really good ear, and I always produce a large variety of professional work because of it.

My Studio Equipment

I do have easy access (and great personal relationships) with a huge number of voice over studios in Manhattan. If I'm being paid enough I'll even rent studio space time and an editor to get a fantastic read. THAT was how I booked my first feature film narration for a movie called "American Meat".

When recording from home on the fly I can easily record from my iPhone, as long as my apartment is perfectly quiet - you'd be stunned at what an amazing take I can get, even if it takes 100 takes, I'll only send in one if it sounds PERFECT.

If I have enough time - I'll set up my SAMSON GTRACK Microphone, fire up Garage Band and get a beautiful take from home on my Mac computer as well.

Additional Skills

In addition to my variety of cartoon character voices, countless different tones and vocal variety for film, tv or radio - I am also a phenomenal rhythmic beat boxer. :)
