urgent, intimate, conversational
For narrations, my voice is usually quiet and authoritative. For promos, it can vary from enthusiastic to gritty. Commercials run the gamut, from character voices, to fast-talking P&I, mellow and personal touches, and laid-back. For telephony messages, I keep it clear, clean and understandable.

My Voice Experience
Creative copywriting helped me enter the voiceover field many years ago. As clients sought a certain sound or image, I could develop the text, and then deliver the message in the best way possible. One of my most popular character voices was actually a joke tape that I'd done for a client, and he enjoyed the character so much that he asked me to become the voice for his chain of stores, and we carried that forward for nine years.
My background in journalism was useful when I've been called upon to record documentaries, or do narration for video and PowerPoint presentations.
Voiceover experience helped me develop successful telephony announcements, since I could "sell" the options to callers without going overboard, yet keeping them focused on how they could participate and use the services offered within the system menus.
I wrote and produced an entire television mystery promotion that was used to build viewership, and encourage TV watchers to find additional clue within a weekly TV magazine that I owned. I also became the shadowy on-camera spokesperson for the mystery contest.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Television-Radio, and have worked in local theatre, on radio, in television, and for several ad agencies.
