Sincere, honest, warm, real, natural, engaging
My voice range goes from semi-deep for narration & e-learning. I can also speak in a higher timbre without sounding forced or "squeaky". Vocal selection depends on the project. Is it serious, or is it a bit more fun. I can be serious, I can be fun. I can be fun while being serious.

My Voice Experience
My voice over experience actually begins in junior high school as one of those kids who hung around the local radio station in small town MI. Eventually I was give the task of recording tags on commercials, just so I could get my big break.
Later I was staff announcer at WUCM-TV19 in University Center, MI.
I have many years on air in various formats, mostly as an late night easy-listneing music host. This kept me from developing an "announcery" delivery, which was helpful when I decided to transition into Voiceover work in 1995.
For the most part, I have stuck with narration, be it for corporate or industrial videos. I now included corporate training & E-Learning among my voice delivery skills. I am also skilled in medical presentations.
My training consists of on the job training at radio staiton WHGR-WJGS in Houghton Lake, MI.
My more formal training took place at Delta College in University Center, MI. There I took the RTV curriculum and began working for the TV station as Staff Announcer.
Post college, I studied under Bob Magruder in Dallas, TX on 2 separate occasions. He was my first voice over coach.
Additional training has come under the guidance of Bettye Zoller, also from Dallas. With Bettye, I perfect my narration skills further.
I have taken two courses with James Alburger & Penny Abshire from San Diego, CA. My first course with them was in Chicago, IL where I not only worked with James & Penny, but with Harlan Hogan as well.
My Studio Equipment
My studio consists of a soundproofed studio/booth.
I use 2 microphones.
The Neumann TLM-103 Microphone as well as the Electro-Voice RE27N/D
My microphones go into the dbx 286 Mic-processor, and then into the computer via the Edirol UA-5
The software I have chosen to record with is Adobe. I have recently upgraded to Adobe CS5 after years of recording with Adobe Auditon 3.0
