Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I am a great imitator - if I hear an accent or dialect I can usually copy it with a great degree of accuracy. I do not a have a long list of dead on celebrity impressions but I do when it comes to singers: Neil Young, Aaron Neville, Rod Stewart, Eddie Vedder, Elton, many others.
I can create unique charactors based on descriptions or I can work with a director to find a matching voice for any project.
My Voice Experience
Other than hosting my own radio show on an upstart radio/website platform, most of my VO experience is from ADR work on films I have been in. This is a post-production process of recording voice to cover or replace existing dialogue. For example I did some ADR for the film BAD BOYS 2, in which I had a speaking role. I had to re-record my original dialogue here at SONY Studios in Culver City because my script called for a curse word that needed to be covered up for the film to be released to a broader audience. I did this same process for 2 other lesser known films for similar reasons. I played the lead in a children’s television pilot that called for dubbing in dialogue over an educational travel montage.
I have had one-on-one training sessions with both renowned voice actor and coach Steve Harris in NYC, and TV star Adrian Pasdar here in Los Angeles. Both of whom have numerous voice over credits to their names.
My Studio Equipment
I have a Shure SM58 professional cardioid dynamic microphone. I do not have a home studio for finnished projects but I live in Los Angeles so I have proximity to a great many resources.
