Numerous Audiofile Magazine Earphones Awards
With more than 200 audiobook titles narrated and directed, Robin Miles brings tremendous talent and experience to both sides of the glass. Her awards include “Best of the Year” from both Audiofile Magazine and Publishers Weekly, several Earphones Awards, 2 Ben Franklin Awards, Best of the Best Kids Audio, a prestigious Audie Award, and a 2010 Grammy finalist (directing).
Her journey began in the theater, and ranges from Broadway’s The Violet Hour, Jonathan Larsen’s JP Morgan Saves the Nation, regional Shakespeare and classical plays, to Law & Order, National Geographic’s Tales from the Wild, The American Museum of Natural History in NYC, even the coveted Collected Shorts of Symphony Space and NPR Radio.
Producers routinely seek her out for her impressive ability to handle accents and multiple characters, and her sensitivity to a wide array of texts. Whether lightly nuanced or with definite presence, her characters’ speech reflects age, social and educational background, rooting them into the narrative landscape. She deftly handles archaic historical texts, contemporary, and poetic works with equal agility.
In addition, she coaches and directs in a way both actors and laypersons immediately understand. Before beginning her own teaching studio, Voxpertise®, she was Assistant Professor of speech for SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater, taught acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, ESL at Kaplan's NY International Center, and coached managers for Merrill Lynch.

I was an accent professor in an acting conservatory, so I mean it when I say I do accents well. The above list is what I do regularly; most others I work up on a per job basis.
I have played lawyers, doctors, cleaning ladies and whores...it's all good.
I sing in different styles.
I have a trusted network of studios, editors, researchers.
I do animal sounds (my cow and pig are scary good).
I handle difficult talent (i.e., celebrities) particularly well.
I am a excellent researcher (I charge extra for extensive look ups).
I play nicely with others.
