My Voice Experience
I have been voicing for over 20 years and in that time have covered most things. My first 'real job' was for Gerry Anderson on 'Terrahawks' in which I provided the voices for Yungstar, Stew Dapples, Hudson, 101 and many other incidental characters. More recently I voiced Captain Blue (and Cpt.Grey) in the CGI remake of 'Captain Scarlet' also for Gerry Anderson.
But in between I have done TV campaigns for Ford, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, Huggies Pullups, Carlton Cinema and many others, with countless national radio ads along the way.
I voice a lot of computer games (9 last year alone) including Fable II, Medieval II Total War, Age of Conan and Killzone Liberation to name a few. Most recently I played 'Rummy' in the Pirates of the Caribbean game for Disney.
On a daily basis I am voicing radio ads via ISDN for local radio stations up and down the country and some in Europe.
Together with documentaries (most recently for a Danish company who asked me to do a series of nine films about the environment), website inserts and corporate reads I am kept pretty busy!
I was privately educated, finishing at Radley College near Oxford. I went on to The Central School of Speech & Drama in London for the 3-year Drama Course. From there I went into regional theatre which soon took me to London's West End and it was there that I secured my first voice-over agent.
My Studio Equipment
I use an SE2200A mic with an SE Reflexion Filter, ProTools recording software, a Spirit SX mixing desk and a Prodys Pronto III Codec for ISDN.
I trained as an actor which, many producers/directors have noted, helps me to bring a script to life; I love to create, so if you're not sure quite what you're looking for I am more than happy to try things out for you - this has been a great bonus in the studio with computer game directors who often only have a vague idea of the character but have been unable to express it! We have played around with different ideas and produced some weird and wonderful characters along the way (samples of which will be uploaded here shortly)!
I am a keen golfer and cyclist (road), I love good food, wine and draft beers, my Border Terriers and the good life provided by the beautiful Devon countryside.
