My Voice Experience

I enjoy singing and typing made-up stories of my own. I can leave an example of a story I've typed but never published.
Thousands of years ago, before the time of Christ, there was life in the Sahara Desert. A kingdom was born in the Sahara Desert and it was called the Sahara City. Thousands of people lived there and managed to live with the extreme heats of the desert. Many people came from around the country to witness the beautiful sites of the city. King Morocco and his wife, Agatha, had a beautiful baby girl who was named Princess Catalina. Years later, Queen Agatha died of heart failure and now Princess Catalina was left alone with her father, King Morocco. The child grew up living with just a man image of the world and grew to protect her life whenever she would be in danger.
She won every sword fight competition that the kingdom had and she even traveled to other sword competitions and won them as well. She was the best swordsperson around and a beautiful one as well. Men were teased by her beauty and thought that they should be easy on her just because a woman, but when she showed how fierce she can be they grew stronger and fought against her but failed to win.
Princess Catalina was now twenty years old and practicing her sword fighting with her own father, who failed to beat her at the game. “You’ve grown quite talented at this sport my dear,” exclaimed her father with exhaustion. “I’ve learned from the best,” she replied. “You flatter me daughter, but I am not as young as I used to be,” he smiled. “No matter what age you are, your true strength shows on how you can hold a sword,” she replied. “Intelligent as well. You get that from your mother’s side,” he smiled.
Soon the two concluded their game and drank some water to rest. “I have been told about your cousin. He’s coming here to help me run things around the kingdom,” said King Morocco. “Why have another man here to rule the kingdom, when I am at the age to do so on my own?” Princess Catalina asked. “Because this is a duty of a king. You will have your turn, either it be at my death or when you are wed with a wise prince.” King Morocco replied. “I don’t understand why I should marry someone when I don’t even know him. Shouldn’t I get to know the person I am going to marry before I am bonded to him for life?” she asked. “Daughter, I know you are quite independent, but you must abide by the customs of our ancestors, that must keep on in their memories,” replied King Morocco. “Foolish laws! I hate them! When I am queen, I will do my best to change them for the better of our future,” added Princess Catalina.
“You’re cousin will be coming to the city of Cairo, and I ma to meet him there,” said King Morocco. “Cairo? But that is too far! What am I to do as I wait for your return?” asked Princess Catalina. “Well, you can begin your search for a husband. You will be turning twenty-one next year and by then you should have a husband,” replied King Morocco. “Search for a husband? Foolishness. I am not a woman who is to be sitting down and waiting on her spouse. I am more of the kind who searches for adventure, especially the daring types,” she fantasized. The king began to laugh and said, “My dear it is all right to fantasize about exploring the world, but that is no place for a princess. Your place is here in the castle as you plan your life with a husband. Besides, I want to see plenty of grandchildren here in the castle not in the desert.” “Father, please! I am not one to have children at such a young age. I mean they are quite adorable, but I’m still young. I want to live my youth until I know the world really has to offer,” added Princess Catalina.
“When will you begin this journey to Cairo?” asked Princess Catalina. “In two days, I’ve begun the necessary to begin this journey. I just hope this old man can live up the heat of the desert as I make it to Cairo,” replied King Morocco. “Father, don’t speak like that. Of course you will make it there, and you will make it back home as well,” said Princess Catalina. “Your love is a blessing my dear. I just hope the Gods hear you and make sure that it will happen that way,” smiled King Morocco.

I wrote this back in July 2004.
