Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

My natural accent is a southwest neighborly sound which voice coaches have encouraged me to leave as is.

My Voice Experience

Some of my most rewarding voice work has come as a volunteer for the Audio Information Network of Colorado. I have considerable experience with TV and radio promos via live interviews and/or recorded spots for a variety of organizations - from Special Olympics to Kiwanis International.

My Training

My voice training goes all the way back to high school where I was extremely active in Thespians, oral interpretation competitions and a Capella choir. I earned numerous medals in speech tournaments, but my most rewarding moment was Playing the role of Professor Harold Hill in our senior play - "The Music Man".

Following high school I continued my voice training studies by minoring in Speech as an undergraduate. As an adult most of my voice work has been in public speaking, training seminars and sales.

I have received voice coaching through Edge Studio with Linda Jones, Michael Ingram, Danielle Quisenberry and Vanessa Richardson. Most recently I have studied under Paul Ruben for audiobooks. I continue to pursue training and coaching as time and circumstances allow.

My Studio Equipment

My home studio equipment consists of a Miktek C7e microphone with a PreSonus Tube Prev2 preamp paired with a Focusrite 2i2 audio Interface feeding into an HP Pavilion dv6 Laptop using Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 software.
