My Voice Experience

I was chosen as DC's "Voice of Metro" over 1,258 competitors in a nationwide contest in 2006, and have been a busy voiceover professional ever since. In addition to the DC subway system, my voice is heard on the Smart Bus in both Los Angeles and Fairfax Counties in California and Virginia. I am the voice of The National Cancer Institute's "Did You Know?" educational video series and narrate e-learning modules for the University of Maryland's School of Social Work. I have done numerous radio commercials and PSA's in seven major markets, as well as phone system greetings and other smaller projects.

I also voiced the character of a detective in New Fiction's "Blood Dimmed Tide" audio book, and the character of the Judge in an educational video game that instructs children and young adults about courtroom procedures for the Denver Judicial Center. I am also a narrator for educational videos featured on the NOAA's "Ocean Today" kiosk with locations in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and aquariums across the country

Featured in Northern Virginia Magazine's "Best of 2012" and "Best of 2013" issues as a notable local personality.

My Training

I take direction extremely well and have been dubbed "One-Take Randi" by many directors and industry pros. I have exceptionally good recording techniques that result in very clean recordings without mouth noise, pops or clicks.

I participated in Industrial Voiceover, Multimedia, Video Production and Digital Non-Linear Editing workshops at Lightspeed Productions, after graduating from The Columbia School of Broadcasting.

My Studio Equipment

I use both Sennheiser MD421 and Shure KSM44 microphones with Adobe Audition in my home studio. I also have access to a full broadcast studio for bigger projects.

I can upload audio files to Google Drive, Dropbox or send via FTP.

Additional Skills

I was a morning news anchor on a Delmarva news/talk radio station for about two years, and have experience writing news for broadcast as well as interacting with the show host during live broadcasts. I've also had professional experience in the animal care industry, and worked at a high-line automobile dealership for seven years in a sales and customer retention position. I worked in a small video production shop for several years where I performed as a digital non-liner editor and also worked in the field as a camera and CG operator. I have experience working in non-profit organizations and consulting firms in an administrative capacity, worked as a driving instructor, and delivered singing telegrams. I've also waited tables in a restaurant and worked as a cocktail waitress.
