Character and accent/dialect specialist
My stage training and experience produces a very resonant voice, with a baritone range most comfortable. However, my acting training means that if you want breathy and light, I can do that as well. My narration is typically warm, emotional and deep, while character voices are developed from a character study, textual clues and other evidence.

My Voice Experience
I have recorded a number of fiction and non-fiction titles for Macmillan and Audible which can all be seen on my Audible page (see below), including several that required significant language study in both Norwegian and German. I have also done a large amount of cartoon and videogame voiceover work for Slimgoodbody Productions, including a wide variety of voices and characters for cartoons commissioned by PBS, ranging from Rene Descartes to Albert Einstein, and the voice of the computer. Prior to that I worked for the BBC in London on a number of projects from radio drama to poetry reading. I was the lead character and narrator in a Final Runes Production called Journey with Strange Bedfellows (http://www.a-strange-journey.com/) and was one of the lead characters in the recent full cast Audible Drama production of Jeffery Deaver's The Starling Project. In addition, I have done a number of training video voiceovers for Post Office Editorial.
I have a BA Hons in English Language and Literature from Durham University in England, and an MFA in Performance from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Wales. I was chosen for voice training by David Gwesyn-Smith (a professional opera singer) while training there. My first professional role was as a clarinet-playing bandleader in a show for a small touring company in London. I am currently the artistic director of a professional theatre company based in midcoast Maine - the Everyman Repertory Theatre - where I both direct, produce and perform in our productions. I also work as a freelance writer. I have a regular column with Responsible Investor Magazine, Fortune and on Motley Fool's website, and I have had several plays professionally produced, one at the National Theatre of Wales, Sherman Theatre. I am a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain and have temporary withdrawal status with British Actors' Equity.
