Paul Fish

Different, smooth, midwest, joe six pack

Voice Description

My voice is somewhat smooth, but raw. I really can't compare my voice to anybody I know of on the air right now. It is somewhat unique. It really isn't about the voice per say, but the personality behind it.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can do a number of voice acting inflections like a cheesy British accent, a flaming gay man, and a neanderthal. I can make it fun, serious, goofy, or obnoxious.

My Voice Experience

I worked for WELW 1330 for about two years as an on air personality, and as a voice for a number of commercials. I built my own recording studio in 2001, and freelanced radio commercials for local businesses, before starting a podcast called the Strangeradio Nation. When I got into the podcasting community, I networked and started making intro's, parodies and voice work for other shows and internet radio stations. I currently record a Faith based podcast, and still do some work for other podcasters.

My Training

2000 Graduate of the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Valley View, Ohio. It was a very intense one year course, where we learned and applied Radio and Television applications.

My Studio Equipment

(2)Shure KSM 32 Professional microphones, a Behringer Eurorack MX 2004A 20 Channel Mic/Line Mixer, and Adobe live audition, with Cool Edit Pro as a backup. These are plugged into a custom built PC, designed for audio and visual work.

Additional Skills

I am a character on the stage of life. I have spent over 22 years in remodeling and construction, and I also study and teach Scripture. I have a lot of knowledge on many different things that would probably be best suited for a game show, rather than real life. But the radio business is not necessarily "Real Life", now is it?
