My Home Base
, Oregon, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
My natural dialect is from Portland Oregon but I can do the popular accents as well (English both "poor" and "wealthy", Australian, New Zealand, Scottish, Irish, Southern US, Western US). Characters across the board from "monocle man" to the local "hood rat", intelligent, stupid, funny, serious, scary, and sexy. Impressions could be anything from "Movie trailer announcer" to an R&B singer. Johnny Cash, Bruce Buffer, etc..
My Voice Experience
I was hired at Cold Stone Ice Creamery simply based on the fact that when I opened my mouth to say my name, I startled the group with my voice. I serve tables currently so I change like a chameleon and speak with variations of professionalism. I am a musician with a background in acting looking to work using my voice. I am frequently told that I "have a voice that belongs on the radio". I spend most of my days and nights recording my voice and mixing music so my attention to detail is keen.
I've been a vocalist since 2000 singing in choirs, solo competitions, musicals, playing characters in other shows. In addition to that experience I have taken five years of private vocal lessons from several instructors. After high school I spent one year in Seattle at Cornish College of the Arts where I studied Musical Theater and character building. I'm also a song writer so the elements of wordplay and pentameter are a bonus.
My Studio Equipment
I have my own mobile studio with condenser mics and software. I frequently record at another studio that has a wide variety of condenser and dynamic mice, fully equipped with Protools, Logic Pro, and "beat-making" softwares. With the amount of VST's I have, it makes recording vocals a breeze. I have been my own sound engineer for four years and I know what makes my voice sound good.
As a musician and former acting student I have always used my voice in everything I do. Because I beatbox I also learned how to make other strange noises and I often use sound effects while telling stories.
