Mollie McComb

Girl Next Door with a Flair for Accents

Voice Description

As an avid linguist and trained singer, my voice is extremely versatile. My natural voice is melodic, engaging, and effervescent. I enjoy working with the warmer, lower range of my voice, particularly in narrations. And with children's literature and storytelling, I take advantage of every opportunity for dynamic shifts, rhythmic motifs, and character voices. I'm equally adept at sounding approachable, professional, flirty, and assertive. No challenge is too great for me!

My Voice Experience

Voice over work is a new venture for me, as an actress. But with a solid background in professional theatre, singing, and film, my vocal repertoire is diverse and exciting. One of my favorite challenges as a young actress was being cast as Eliza Dolittle in "My Fair Lady." For the senior thesis of my theatre degree, I chose to portray a character with a rhotic southern accent. I'm trained extensively in classical and musical theatre singing, as well as classical stage voice.

My Training

Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and Vocal Performance from Whitworth University (Magna Cum Laude)

Radio theatre workshop with Nicole Kempskie at The Paley Center for Media

Twelve years classical and musical theatre voice training with David Sabella-Mills, Patricia Blankenship-Mortier, Darnelle Preston, and Keith Skogsberg

Four-year member of the elite Whitworth Choir under Dr. Marc A. Hafso

Voice for the actor training with Dr. Diana Trotter (Whitworth University)
