Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have been doing impressions since I was a young boy, shining shoes at age 10 at an upscale 'supper club'. I always used my "New Yawkah" accent for that gig, although the job was in CT. "Hey, shine Mistah? 2-bits! I'll give ya' a shine that you can see ya' face in!" I made a lot of money taking care of the "Italian Clan". I can do New Jersey, Southern accents SC, NC, GA, also Maine, "Bahstun", Rhode Island,
I can do "Hank Hill", "Jerry Seinfeld", "Billy Bob Thornton", "Jay Leno", "Craig Ferguson" and many others.
I can do a French dialect (12 years of French classes). I am able to to a Sicilian accent after years of working with a gentleman who spoke little English. I can do Canadian.
I used to sing along with male (Frank Sinatra, and the rest of the 'rat pack', and especially female vocalists in the 60's/70's to emulate their styles e.g., Dionne Warwick, Lulu, Astrud Gilberto, as well as the 'boy bands'...The Beach Boys, Beatles, Stones, Zombies, - anyone that had harmony.
I had a fantastic teacher/bassist when first starting my musical career who taught me the "Brown Sound" (a major 2nd). He gigged with the Five Satins as well as Daniel Lanois for many years.
I have a well-rounded sound capability.

My Voice Experience

I currently work for a major polling organization in the country. I handle approximately 300 calls per shift (part-time) and deal with a plotted script (VERY little variation allowed, although I do know how to 'read' a person and get results).
I handle calls professionally, and get approximately 20% more respondents than my counterparts.
I deal with people in a 'please and thank you' manner, and get many "thanks!" for my being 'people-friendly'.

Moving backward, I was recording P.S.A'S for NPO's and NFP's organizations. I'd be given a script (and Flyer) by email and would tailor it down to less than 2 minutes for broadcast/internet airwave use to over 50 airwave/internet stations. I've never had anything but good feedback.
I have a home recording studio with top-notch gear. I've been doing home-recording since 1972, (The days of "Reel to Reel" overdubs).
I've done poetry reads in my studio, as well as coached others who were reading.
i've synced original music to those projects, as well as musical projects with great success.

My Training

Self-taught in audio recording since 1997. I currently run a home studio with Logic for Mac, and top I have top of the line equipment. I play guitar, keys, bass, drums, percussion, blues harp, mandolin, The most important is my voice.

I have a fairly-recent 5 week comprehensive Local Cable Access Production certificate.

In the past, at Sikorsky Aircraft, I assisted in putting together a 50-member team "Safety Awareness Parade" including a custom Safety Theme song I recorded with multiple contributors. The president of the company was a 'classical guy', but at the end of 7 shop tours, he was dancing like a pro.
The taping was such a hit that they showed it at the "Gold Building" in Hartford to a big round of applause.
I also produced music for a video of Sikorsky's 'kick-off' program. I interspersed live, audio, and visual presentations.

My Studio Equipment

24-Channel Alesis inline mixer, Line6 equipment (Pod, Pocket Pod, compressor, noise gate, reverb, Sony multi-effects unit, Alesis monitors, many ACID drum loop discs, Yamaha DTX Pro drum kit, 14 guitars, 4 basses, 6 amps, Yamaha digital piano, Alesis synth, DBX 1 Mic processor, ART pre-amp tube processor, Samson Headphone and Playback amps, 6 pro Sony Headphones, and multiple mics, ranging from an SM-57's to Pro Condenser mics.
