Warm, happy, believable, snarky, ironic,
I have a warm, urbane voice with a pleasant chuckle that can go from sophisticated to snarky, and from wildly enthusiastic to dry and deadpan. Because I am a writer myself, I feel especially able to communicate the meaning and emotions of the script, from narration to commercial to animation to corporate presentations.

My Home Base
, New York, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
American East Coast, Yankee, Southern. My strength lies not so much in accents as in getting inside the character's persona and bringing that out...through pacing, attitude, amplitude or whatever feels right (to me and the client.) I did do a Shaker Lady in a nice Indie about a year or so ago, and was someone's Maw in Iowa a short while back.
My Voice Experience
The list is small but growing. My first voice-over gig was as a Shaker lady in small, good Indie film called Upstate. Then I was almost hired to read a bio of Bob Marley. (My submission was enthusiastically accepted but I believe the project was canceled.) I did a squawky Simpsons-like character for a student animated film, have a small part in an upcoming Doctor Who episode, and recorded an odd, angst-ridden poem for a short animated film currently in production.
Also, as a copywriter and fiction writer, I always read my stuff out loud before submitting it. Words need to get up off the page to come to life.
I love to inform and to entertain. As a copywriter my goal is never to be boring while getting the message across loud and clear. Also, as a creative writer, I understand that there are always interesting nuances to be found in the copy.
I studied acting at HB and various NYC workshops, then moved into voice acting at the Edge Studio, and most recently studied with Johnny Heller.
I'm also a professional ski instructor, and use my voice to instruct, cajole, reassure, inspire, praise, prod and, well, you get the idea!
My Studio Equipment
I have an AT20/20 USB cardioid condenser mic plugged into my Dell laptop. And Audacity. Also, I live in NYC where everything is just a subway ride away.
