Versatile, Character, Accents, Silly, Serious

Voice Description

I have a versatile voice well suited for anything from serious business applications to silly commercials to multi-character audiobooks to public speaking and narrations.

My vocal range is rather large, with the ability to modulate from a high, squeeky character or child's voice, to a deep and sonorous, silky smooth baritone.

Children and adults alike enjoy my reading with character voices for books.

I also have over 20 years experience in public speaking and teaching.

My Voice Experience

I began voice work in high school over 25 years ago, working at a local radio station doing voice-overs and PSAs. I have had over 200 spots on the air at one time.

Since that time I have gone on to a career as a trial attorney. I have taught various classes on many subjects over the years in fields including legal studies, law enforcement, history, biblical studies, government and civics, immigrations and even martial arts and self defense.

I have been a frequent public speaker and guest lecturer throughout my local region.

I have also done voice over and narration for video and news projects.

I have read so much to my two children, that they no longer want to listen to commercial audiobooks, preferring my voices and characters to that of most readers. In fact, it was they who asked me to return to doing voice work.

My Training

I have a BA in Criminal Justice and a JD (law degree) both from the University of Florida.

I have worked in radio as a voice talent for commercials and PSAs.

Also, I worked in a music stores and in the performing arts industry for many years, gaining an firm knowledge base for production and equipment.

My current career calls for me to speak professionally to groups on a nearly daily basis.

Being the father of two wonderful children may actually be the best training ground for vocal and voice talent ever!

My Studio Equipment

I have access to state of the art equipment at local studios as well as my own small, in-home digital studio.

Additional Skills

I always try to hae fun with whoever is around me and still maintain the highest degree of professionalism. I love to work as a team, but can also work quite well without direction.
