My voice is warm and richly textured, able to convey subtle nuance for narration and documentary, as well as being clear and professional. I articulate well and am able to explain concepts and procedures for e-learning and corporate presentations, and can also keep it conversational and light. I also like to go deep and gritty, tough, if the character demands it for television and radio, or switch it in the opposite direction - smooth and refined, elegant.

My Voice Experience
My voiceover credits encompass work in both Europe and North America, include commercials for both national television and the internet, documentary and corporate clients. They range from the Abu Dhabi Cultural Authority for a tourism promotion TV campaign, to Public Works Canada; from a science website introductory video to a mobile sales app introduction for a large corporation, from website promos for high-end Fortis Faucets, to a promotional video for a hospital foundation in the US Midwest. And speaking of that, a video for the Language Conservancy, an organization dedicated to preserving native American languages.
I have been in professional audio for roughly three decades, in both television and film, as well as post-production on drama, corporate and educational projects as part of my work, and feel this technical and operational background gives me a solid base on which to produce professional recordings.
I have spent decades in television sound and as a sound mixer on film and learned my audio craft way back when edits were made on tape with a grease pencil and a sharp razor. I have recorded and directed announcers, mixed multi-track productions, produced post audio and done a lot of live sound over the years. I fully understand the art of audio and the fundamental tools necessary to produce professional grade audio. In addition, I am a member of Gravy for the Brain, an excellent website dedicated to voiceover training.
I maintain memberships in a few different training websites related to voiceover coaching and professional development.
My Studio Equipment
I record and edit in Logic Pro X through a Universal Audio Apollo Twin, using a Microtech Gefell M930 studio condenser. I will also sometimes record through an Avalon vp 737 processor and Focusrite Pro40 A/D on a Neumann TLM49 or Schoeps Mk41.
I have done a lot of recording and mixing, both in analogue and digital, and as a result have a comprehensive understanding and appreciation for the art of recording. I love language, and am able to edit, if required, scripts to have them conform to the notion that words read aloud are often different from those which are written. This, really, is one of the fundamental secrets of a successful script, well executed.
