My Voice Experience
B.A.A. - Radio & Television Arts - Ryerson University 1992.
Copywriter for 1470 CHOW 1992 where I first started voicing ads.
Producer for 105.7 CHRE from 1994 to 2000 where I wrote, voiced and produced hundreds of ads and promos.
Voiced a national TV ad for Dairy Queen in 2001 entitled "Crouching Tiger Hidden Cheeseburger". I provided the voice for a young kung-foo student who fights his master for the honor of eating not one, but two double bacon cheeseburgers. You may view the ad here:
Voiced a series of on-line educational flash animations regarding climate change in 2009 for FutureThink BC: Climate Change in Action. The read was informative and interesting.
Provided many character voices for Owl Salad in 2009 and 2011. Owl Salad is a comedy group that produces audio sketches in the tradition of Monty Python. The producers of Owl Salad are currently trying to sell the show to XM Satellite Radio.
BAA in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto - 1992
I worked in the radio industry from 1992 until 2000. I was a copy writer and commercial/promo producer. During that time I voiced hundreds of radio commercials and promos. As a commercial producer I developed an ear for interpreting copy and I mastered my mic technique.
I have been an apprentice member of ACTRA since the summer of 2001.
I attended a voice-over workshop with Deb Munro in 2010.
My Studio Equipment
I have a Rode Podcsater mic and Adobe Audition 3.0 software.
With a degree in Radio and Television Arts and a degree in accounting I have the skills to provide excellent voice talent mixed with professional business savvy. I dabble at the piano and I am musically inclined. I understand the responsibilities and headaches of home ownership. I know how mortgages work and I know how to amortize them. I am fluent in business English. I am married. I understand that relationships can be hard work, and can be very rewarding. In my life time I have been a dish washer, a municipal enumerator, a government employee, a creative director for a radio station, a production manager for a radio station, I have worked retail for an art supply store, and I am currently working as an accountant. I like riding my bike. My biggest talent and the thing I love to do most is voice-over.
