My Voice Experience

I have over 20 years of experience in community theater, having played the roles of Aunt Eller in "Oklahoma", Margaret in "Perfect Crime", Penny in "You Can't Take it With You", and June in "Smoke on the Mountain", to name a few. I recorded the telephone tree for my place of employment. I love reading books out loud! When my children were young I would read to them every night. Now that they are out of the house, I regularly captivate my husband and put my dalmatian to sleep with my readings. I enjoy creating voices for each of the characters in the books. My genres include anything from popular fiction to the classics to self-help books. I like to memorize radio and TV commercials and try to make my voice sound exactly like the ones I hear. I enjoy trying different accents.

My Training

I have an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Howard Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. I took acting classes at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. I have over 20 years experience in community theater. I danced professionally with the Aurora Dance Company in Columbia, Maryland. I direct the dance ministry at my church, Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I regularly take tap, modern and worship dance classes at The Studio School of the Arts. I have sung with my church choir and performed in musicals.
