My Voice Experience

I began my Voice Over career at the tender age of 13, auditioning for Pearson Digital Learning's educational software campaign with a Character-spanning reading of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. That audition landed me the coveted position as the Voice of KnowledgeBox Educational Software. Over the next 4 years, I recorded scripts for Social Studies, Math, Science and other classes for 1st through 8th graders. Additional VO projects include the morally misguided youth for a series of Alliance Defense Funds radio spots, and a reading of two legendary poems for national classroom distribution by the National Endowment for the Arts (Poetry Out Loud! Program).

My Training

Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, University of Southern California '11
Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, University of Southern California '11
Studied under Vicki Lewis (Batman: The Animated Series, News Radio, Damn Yankees/Chicago/others on Broadway) and Phil Allen (Resident Sound Designer for Reprise Theatre Company, Los Angeles).
In Phoenix, studied under Marla Finn (Voice of Velma, Scooby Doo), and Gay Gilbert (one of the Southwest's largest radio producers).
Extensive Musical Theatre experience, mentored by John Rubinstein (Broadway's original Pippin, Tony Award Winner for Children of a Lesser God), as well as Robert Kolby Harper (Associate Artistic Director, Phoenix Theatre), Alby Potts, and Parmer Fuller.
Double Majored in Broadcast Journalism at the prestigious Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC. Trained extensively under professionals in the field and wrote, filmed, edited, and recorded over 15 packages (samples available by request).

My Studio Equipment

Easy access to professional VO Studio. Equipment to be listed TBA, but Demos all recorded in this studio, for quality verification. Voice Editing conducted using Audacity and Garage Band Pro.

Additional Skills

I have a strong background in improvisational comedy and can perform using only a loosely structured script.
I am an excellent journalistic copy-writer. Through journalism, I have extensive experience in presenting difficult information and verbiage with clarity. Having recorded VO for poetry, I am skilled at bringing out the imagery written into texts.
