My Voice Experience
My experience in voice over goes back to when I'd play the Movie Trailer game with my friends in the early 2000's. This is where we'd sit around a circle and I'd do my best Don LaFontaine impression and improv a movie trailer starring my friends as I describe the whole thing. I've always been a good mimic and with a little research and practice feel that I can imitate most anyone. My professional credits include doing narration for a presentation about FBI dogs and their ability to identify people via their sense of smell. My commercial work was done mostly in the past 6 months where I was recording, and at the end fully producing, 15 and 30 second radio spots for a Los Angeles nightclub that aired on 98.7 fm. In all I did about 24 spots. I am still a little new to the business but very eager to get going and willing to put forth the work to make a career out of what I love to do.
Received my BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut in 2004.
At UCONN I had voice classes with Dr. David Allen Stern, a well known voice coach that has his own line of vocal training tapes.
Took a 4 week intensive course with Cheryl Lynn Carter on the voice over industry as a whole as well as training for auditions.
My Studio Equipment
Audio Technica AT2020 USB Mic
Adobe Audition Editing and Recording Software
Immense fan of Radio Dramas and other programs that really show what people can do with sound. Being able to paint pictures in the audience's mind with one's voice is essential. I approach things from an audience and fan stand point.
