My Voice Experience
While working for Resorts International Hotel & Casino, I was personally chosen by Merv Griffin to do a series of in-house industrials about employee responsibilities & demeanor as Groucho Marx. We shot a half dozen video and audio spots.
Did a series of radio voice over spots for a radio station as one of their two inept technicians discussing the weeks events as some sort of mountainous obstacles to overcome. W???. The dust of years have obscured the call letters.
For the one woman show "Y" performed at Sally Johnson Studios in NYC & at The 2009 NY Frigid Festival, I did a voice over of the radio broadcaster announcing Marilyn Monroe 's death over the air and another voice over as Lee Strasberg speaking his eulogy at Marilyn's graveside.
Just recently I completed a voice over for the production,"Dreaming Games" a play being work shopped here in NYC.
Have taken several workshops for voice over, lastly with Tara Boragine at The Network
I've taken a Risk class for the past 4 years where I work on characters & exploring how they sound has opened me up to the subtleties of different dialects.
While at the American Academy for Dramatic Arts, I studied the voice and different regionalisms while in speech class.
My Studio Equipment
An Imac G5 with Garage Band v2.0.2 (50)
My long experiences in divulging exposition and bringing out some information that is pertinent & helpful to the plot or project has disciplined me to find the clearest way to make a point. Get to the point.
My continued character work that I do in my work runs parallel with my voice over strength. All characters can be used as v/o characters with some tweaking.
My one man show where I tell a story for 60 minutes and keep you interested.
I'm a team player.
