Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Known as "The Woman of 101 Voices" on the NY stage - (was "Betty Boop Off-Broadway"):

Child voices, Kate Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Flipper!

Valley girl, tough New York doll, Locust Valley Lockjaw upper crust, Ma Kettle, dotty British matron, The Queen.

Accents ranging from a variety of North American English (New York, New England, Southern, Texas), to British (upper class, BBC or Cockney), Irish, Scottish, Australian, East Indian, Israeli, French, Spanish and Asian.

I speak some Spanish, Hebrew and Cherokee.

I also do animal sounds (dog, cat, sheep, goat, dolphin, hawk, sea gull) and sound effects (police siren, jungle bird calls).

Blessed with a "good ear," I can easily mimic almost any voice I hear (used to drive my mother crazy!!!).

As a Vocal Caricaturist, I enjoy working with clients to create character voices for commercials, audiobooks, cartoons, videogames and educational software.

My Voice Experience

I have been blessed to do both straight, solid narration for industrials (Dollar Rent-a-Car), wacky cartoon voices (HeartSoft Educational Software), spokesperson and character voices for numerous TV and radio commercials (from L'Oreal to the Tulsa State Fair's Singing Cow! - numerous nationwide spots for award-winning Cloud 9 Studios in Tulsa, OK 1991 to present), audiobooks, cartoons (Impact Productions), radio station liners (the voice of the Oasis Radio Network), plus DVDs for Harvest House Publishers.

I've been a professional actor, author and playwright for over 25 years ().

Additional Skills

I am a published author with Harvest House Publishers, so I can assist in the area of copywriting.

As an award-winning actor and playwright, I present one-woman shows (from historical to hysterical!) at theaters, universities, conferences, schools, churches, corporate events and retreats.

I have performed for US troops with the USO in Asia, over 500,000 students, on board the Delta Queen for the Smithsonian and for the President and nation's Governors at the National Governors' Conference.

As the director of DoveTale Productions since 1993, I have directed and performed in over a dozen original plays and musicals, including the 12-week summer production I wrote for the Cherokee National Museum and Heritage Center, "Under the Cherokee Moon," now in its third season.

I have two television shows, one of which has been sold to TBN, the world's largest television network. "PraiseMoves Kids!" on their Smile of a Child Network, is the first faith and fitness show for children, reaching 100-300 million people globally. My daily "Fitness for His Witness" nugget is heard on radio networks throughout the U.S.

Not that it would help with voice-overs, but I'm also a ventriloquist (but how could you tell on v/o?).

I have produced 10 DVDs of my material for Harvest House Publishers and through my DoveTale Productions company, including Fitness, Drama and Teaching DVDs.

I created the PowerMoves Kids program/curriculum, the first Character Education & Fitness program for the classroom, now being used in PK-8 schools in the U.S. and Canada.

I have worked extensively as a presenter, spokesperson, keynote speaker and workshop leader in the following settings:
educational (PK thru university)
corporate and club-related events
entertainment (stage, film, TV, radio)
church conferences and retreats
news media (radio and television)
fitness centers
literary conferences and libraries
