My Voice Experience
Always so very grateful for the opportunities and wonderful clients who've come my way here on Voice123. Recently, I was hired to provide a British accent in an English version of a French cartoon entitled "The Crumpets." I happily voiced The Weathergirl in two episodes. I completed two audiobooks with AudioMedia Productions and look forward to continued work with them. Was also hired for an ongoing project voicing K.Hovnanian communities and have narrated videos for new communities in Florida, California and Arizona. Currently also voicing characters for a series of children's ebook apps with You TELL Me Stories.
Video narrations include: Trump Hotel and Tower Chicago's wellness amenities program, Duxware and Your Neighborhood Network with ACTIN Web Videos. My British accent was tapped for production of Antibody Evolution with WOOSHII, Laar Humanitarian Programme's "Child Friendly Spaces" and the voice of Wendy in the deleted scenes from "Peter Pan" on Blu Ray dvd for EMC West.
My character/animation demo was well received by Alconost who hired me to provide character voice narrations for a several video projects geared toward children.
I completed the book trailer for "Inside Out and Back Again, " distributed by Scholastic, at Big Yellow Duck Studio. This recording went so smoothly, that it led to a 2nd book trailer for "Endangered" which was completed from my home studio.
I've also been fortunate to work in tandem with a local, professional broadcasting company to provide voice for PSAs for ALS and the Young Faces of ALS promoting their charity events.
I've taken cartoon/character/looping intensive workshops with Pamela Lewis. My most recent basic training has been through Edge Studios and I keep my skills and knowledge up to date via their webinars as well as webinars provided via VoiceoverXtra. My work has been in animation as well as in commercial/narration. As part of developing my tool box for character development I participated in a series of workshops, led by Carolee Goodgold, that explored how to draw characters out through music.
Prior to intensifying my studies in the field of voiceover, I taught on the high school level for 33 and a half years. Subjects I specialized in were Theatre Arts (MA in Theatre) and Sciences (BS in Biology; taught Bio, Anatomy/Physiology, Environmental Science, Earth Science).
I sing, have performed in numerous theatre productions through the years (musical and non-musical) as well as banquet bands. As part of my extracurricular work in education, I was assistant director for the school choir and directed theatrical productions and talent shows.
My Studio Equipment
In my home studio I use the AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Mic and record on a Mac with either Twisted Wave or Audacity.
I'm a hospice volunteer via the Visiting Nurse Service of NY.
I have studied and practiced yoga for the past 11years and have earned certificates in yoga teacher training as well as restorative and yoga therapeutics.
My skills in education encompass the life sciences and performing arts. My interest in, especially, anatomy/physiology bridges nicely with my yoga practice and maintaining my physical health for my career.
I've done intergenerational work that brought high school students together with both pre-k students and senior citizens for various projects and have read to young children as part of the National Read Across America initiative.
In addition to my work in theatre, in print and on camera, I've also performed in (and thoroughly enjoyed) children's theatre productions.
I've hosted school district holiday concerts.
I'm a word nerd and lover of phonics ... there isn't a word big enough to scare me.
Working with people and providing service inspires me. Whatever I do; whatever project I take on it's always completed with a sense of integrity, grace and joy.
