Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Be it a typical British accent, a typical French accent in French, a French, Japanese, German person trying to speak English or vice versa, I can simply do it all. What makes my voice unique is the fact that I have been playing with it and exploring it ever since I was born and there is nothing more fun!
My Voice Experience
We are almost all gifted at birth with our voice. No matter how different it may sound, each and every single voice has an infinite potential. I, personally, have always had a very calm voice. I can't hide that I always found it pretty annoying, as being heard was very difficult with such a soft voice.
Fortunately, I always loved singing, which, gradually, thought me how to be able to project my voice. I have been singing literally ever since I was able to talk, every single day of my life up till now, and I have no intention of stopping. Music is my life.
To me, voice acting is more than acting. The talent to powerfully express feelings only with your voice, without using your body; that is something I find priceless.
I really don't see the point of this category. Music is the language of the soul, do we really need classes to express that language? To write it maybe, but that isn't the point. All I have ever used was my heart and my passion for music. You know, that feeling you get when you're doing something great, and you just know it? Well that's the feeling we should all feel when doing something we love. We just KNOW it's right! If anything, I could definitely be a teacher in this art but I'd rather keep the fun going by exploiting my voice to the maximum. I also compose lyrics, music (guitar piano).
My Studio Equipment
I have a very basic but astonishingly good sounding studio equipment; an Audio Technica condenser microphone (the AT-2035), a FocusRight interface (Scarlett 2i4), a pretty powerful laptop and more importantly, a calm and optimum isolated room to record (because we all know the room is about everything).
I am also equipped with knowledge and inner feeling in sound editing (I can literally feel how to make it sound beautiful and professional, just as weird as this may sound...no pun intended). Be it compressing, equalizing, reverbing, chorusing, delaying, removing breathing, adding some music or sound effects, come at me!
I think the most important thing is to love what we do. That automatically makes us do it well and I am talking from experience. Aligning mind, emotions and feelings simply makes things perfect.
Now about the actual job, I am a pretty easy-to-work-with talent. Given clear directives, I do my own thing in my own little world and give you the most perfect result that comes out of it. Although being extremely perfectionist, I work rather fast and efficiently. It is literally impossible for me to do a, pardon the expression, half-assed job. I just can't; my brain might explode.
Ah and...pretty random skill but...I have also been drawing for a very long time sooo....in case that ever comes handy in a voice over job, you know I can draw! =D
Now the reason I only send my work by e-mail is simply because I don't trust any other way. The Internet is a creepy world; amazing...but creepy, kind of like life itself.
