My Voice Experience

I did some acting back in high school - picked up the male lead by walking in off the street and ended up as a Russian schoolteacher, because I liked to imitate the Soviet Supreme Commander from my favorite video game at the time.

I once read the entirety of Stephen King & Peter Straub's "Black House" to my girlfriend at the time. Cover to cover, with a unique voice for every character - even the blind radio jockey, the spoon-headed Demon, and the hardass biker gang.

But wait! Despite my utter lack of experience, I'm very good at two things - talking a lot, and funny voices.

Do you need a salty pirate seadog? I'll sail with ye to the ends of the earth (or at least Orange County).

How about a gruff Scottish Dwarf? (why Dwarves are always Scottish I have no idea). If you do... you have my axe!

Do you need a sexy vampire, a blood-thirsty child of the eternal night beyond the grave? (I've been told I bear a passing resemblance to David Boreanaz). I'm happy to oblige. What music we'll make!

Cold, calculating villains are a particular favorite. Are you looking for the voice of a sociopathic-yet-perpetually-calm cannibal? Let's sit down to dinner over a nice glass of Chianti, maybe some fava beans?

Whatever you need, I'll give it a shot. I'm happy to do a quick reading of whatever you'd like and email you the files.

My Training

None. ;_;

My Studio Equipment

For low-bitrate stuff, I record directly to PC using Soundtap streaming audio recorder and a gaming PC mic. For high-bitrate work, I use an external recording console (specs on request) to record, then manipulate the files in Audacity. I can do multi-channel and positional audio mixing if you need SFX or music added. For samples converted to various codecs or bitrates, I use Switch File Converter. I can also frame-edit MP3s directly to create loops, if necessary.

Additional Skills

I've worked in the video game industry as a designer for three years. I can provide a unique character to any voice, and I'm greatly inspired by the voice acting for (good) video games.
