Joshua Henderson

Choral, Bass, Articulate, Chivalrus, Dramatic

Voice Description

I have a very peculiar voice with a range that I have been maintaining by staying in choral programs I could get involved in. Most of my voice talent I have developed on my own personal time while having the opportunity to compare myself to very famous voices. I have a steady, low resonant voice that I use for educating and information. I also have a very energetic and swelling voice I use for advertising and ridiculous products;i.e. infomercial voice or As-Seen-on-TV. I keep a reader's voice for dramatic and professional presentations like in the classroom and audio book reads.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

An irritated Russian, a spirited Indian(Asian), an Englishman, an Irishman, and an explorer Australian. Recently, with enough preparation I can imitate the movie trailer announcer, Don La Fontaine. I also have a couple of character's I've been working on including, Meat-Wad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Daffy Duck, Stewie Griffin, Scooby Doo, Goofy, and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch.

My Voice Experience

Actually, I have never submitted any of my work under the category of voice talent. I have participated in many audio productions such as musical performances, stage performances, and theatrical performances. For years I have been working to produce such a vibrant sound in my choral experiences and performances. In high school, I got most of my theatrical experience. During the my senior year, I joined an improvisation team known as Comedy Sportz. They are pretty big and have established Comedy Sportz Shops around the U.S. in select locations, but that's were my character's and voice talent truly awakened. Under the pressure of comedy and a live audience, I had to step it up in order to maintain freshness and clarity. Now, I've been working on a personal project, which requires voice over talent and narration, in order to take it to the next level. Now, I study most phonetics through observational mimicry.

My Training

Other than information I have previously disclosed, I have no prior voice talent experiences. I am a fresh voice with new talent and limitless possibility. A goose that can speak and lay golden eggs.

My Studio Equipment

I own a HP 2000 Notebook PC. I have Audacity. Fruity Loop is another audio program I use to compose music and with Edison, which is a Plug-in, I can edit audio clips, as well. I use Turtle Beach Headphones for playback, while I use my hardware microphone for recording.

Additional Skills

I did get into advanced acting at Pike High School in Indianapolis, IN, otherwise known as 3PT. That class put me in front of some pretty cool opportunities. I got to learn my English dialect from a real English woman, I actually participated in a program called Follow the North Star, in which all participants we taken though a slave's escape to the North, that gave me an out of body perspective to use forever and a day. I am technically inclined on PC, as far as ability goes. I am the most PC tech savvy individual in my immediate household.
