My Voice Experience
I've mainly been in plays. The funny part is in every play I have been in I have never used my own voice. That is right not even once. I played two hill billy roles, a pirate, a British banker, a lumber jack, and a punk. (Not in that order). I have been in music for many years however. That is when I learned how to maneuver my voice. I have practiced and practiced making new and perfecting old voices in which I have made or impersonated. I took drama class all the way through high school. I was in plays starting in the sixth grade.
In high school I took drama classes all the way through. The way I learned as well as high school was music. Music helped learn how to maneuver my voice in many different ways. I took choir all the way through high school. During high school and after I was/still am in a band where I learned that I wanted to sound like the person who originally did the part I was playing/singing. Therefore I learned how to imitate. When I learned how to do that I learned also how to make my own voices.
My Studio Equipment
Recording: I am using a Zoom portable/digital recorder. The Microphone I am currently using is a Shure 58.
Editing: To edit the tracks I use Sonar.
My skills are music and drama. I play guitar so I could do some music tracks/add some background music to whatever the project may need. I can make voices. I make my voices around what the project/character I'm doing needs/or is.
