My Voice Experience

I've loved doing voice work, ever since I was old enough to read aloud to my parents -- or to myself, if no one was around. Some of my past vocal experience includes:

> Working customer service at Capital One ShareBuilder. While not a voice role per se, providing customer support over the phone requires a certain time of vocal performance, one where calmness, clarity, and responsiveness are key. When I was first hired at ShareBuilder 4 years ago, my soon-to-be boss said I had the best 'phone voice' he'd ever heard. While at ShareBuilder, I've also recorded several hold messages, which customers hear when they call in.

> Voiceover on ads for PAWS Cat City, a well-known cat shelter in Seattle (examples here: This work begain in 2013 and has been ongoing.

> Voiceover work in various short films produced with my friends, including Hardboiled ( a noir story starring a bunch of chickens. That film won first prize at the Renton Film Frenzy in 2013. You can find my work (both voiceover and on-camera) in many of Mary Kawamura's other films (her YouTube channel is here:

> Blue Sky, a dramatization of a popular fan-created story based on Valve's 'Portal' game series. I play the character of GLaDOS in the drama. The first chapter of Blue Sky can be found for free on iTunes.

My Training

I'm really pretty much self-taught when it comes to voice work. I like to talk, frankly, and I like doing impressions, telling stories, and personifying different characters. I've often thought that it would great to be on the radio, or do voice-over acting, or audiobook readings. Over the years I've developed my skills, and am continuing to do so all the time.

My Studio Equipment

Blue Snowball Microphone
Garage Band

Additional Skills

As mentioned above, I have a lot of customer service experience, covering phones as well as email and online chat. I have office and administrative skills as well, so I'm good with computers, good with words, and good with people. I have a broad knowledge base on all sorts of topics, and love learning new things. I am creative, responsible, and a quick learner. I am passionate about my work and I can't wait to show you what I can do.
