My Voice Experience

My experience in voiceover ranges from 10-second bits in radio ads to many hours of audiobook narration.
A few examples of some voiceover work I've done:
Pennsylvania Lottery radio spot,
Commerce Bank radio spot featuring "Rod Serling" impression,
"Introducing Exelon Energy" multi-media piece,
Multi-media video announcer for Slack, Inc.
In-house training video narration for the Siemens Co.
Narration for Johnson & Johnson industrial video,
Live internet broadcast "Webinar" Host for MMT Solutions,
Over 100 edited hours of audiobook narration for the MacGraw-Hill company (a series of Elementary-High School Science textbooks)
Aside from many other voice-over jobs, there have been several on-camera jobs that have been based on my vocal characterizations: A parody of "Rod Serling" in a pharmaceutical sales video for Ortho-Biotech, The "Roadrunner" (Meep-meep!) in an ad for Road Runner Internet, two national commercials in which I played a wise-cracking mobster-type cockroach for the National Pest Management Association, and more. As I write this, I'm preparing to shoot a video tomorrow morning in which I'll play a CPA performing the role of Luke Skywalker in an Empire Strikes Back Parody, and Renault in the final scene from Casablanca (for the PA Institute for Certified Public Accountants).

My Training

B.A. in Speech/Theatre/Dance from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in NJ. If you saw me dance, you would know that my specializations were in Speech and Theatre. Graduated 1993 Magna cum Laude.
Intensive 8-week course with renowned voice artist Ruth Franklin (NYC).

My Studio Equipment

I currently have minimal recording equipment which I have used to great effect for simple projects. I have a high quality voice microphone, stereo tuner/amplifier and mixer connected to a new Quad-Core desktop PC through a decent sound card. I use Sonar software (by Cakewalk) for recording, editing, mixing, adding f/x, sequencing music (I am also a composer), encoding files, etc. I use Nero software for recoding, burning to CD / DVD, etc. I can email or burn CD copies of sound files in any major format.

Additional Skills

For nearly 20 years, I have made my living entirely in the performing arts. I am an actor, singer, writer/composer, director, musical-director, orchestral conductor, occasional musician, scenic designer/artist, and more. I am a fast study in any aspect of vocal performance. I have a strong ability to mimick virtually any voice, style or pattern of speech that is within my unusually wide range. I can read copy containing difficult words or phrases, like those found in medical projects, with confidence and clarity.
