Hugh Wyatt

Baritone bass, powerful, versatile, funny.

Voice Description

I have an extremely versatile range. Ad-lib humor is a hobby of mine, and I do character voices for a lot of my bits. By default my voice is mellow and mid-tone. I can do excited, sexy, funny, smooth, deep, booming, you name it.

Throw a project at me and just see if I can't make it work.

My Home Base

, Maryland, United States

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

American Southern, Generic English (from England), Monty Python Style English (from Comedy), Scottish, Irish, New York (boroughs and more general both), Little Old Jewish Lady, Horrible Demon, The Monarch (Venture Brothers), Stitch (Lilo and Stitch), The Joker (Heath Ledger, not Jack Nicholson), Medieval Peasant, Aristocrat, Paladin (this is totally a real thing, ask me to demonstrate), Archvillain, Urchin (street, not sea), and likely several others I'm not remembering at present.

My Voice Experience

I have at present no paid voiceover experience. This is the year in which I hope to break into the field, in fact! I want you to try me, however, and see if you don't like me. I've got range, I've got power, and I'm absolutely willing to work with your script within your specifications to produce the product(s) that you want produced.

My Training

I've been trained by two voiceover professionals, one in Maryland (John Burr) and one in Philadelphia (Chuck McKibben). My college degree is a BA in Theater with a self-created focus in Vocal Performance and Narration. Classes related included training in IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) for a better understanding of script reading and the use of foreign words with accurate pronunciation, jazz singing, and improv (of which I am a great fan).

I'm also a lifelong singer, from High School Choir to musicals while studying at Arcadia University. My range extends quite far, but I am technically a baritone-bass.

My Studio Equipment

Sennheiser e835 microphone, boom and tripod.
Behringer "Xenyx" 802 mixer.
Behringer Composer Pro-XL audio processor.
AKG K-77 Headphones.

Additional Skills

I am great with people. I mean great, really. Very friendly, very outgoing, very accommodating. That's a skill, I promise you.

I've had experience in customer service and in theater, both of which are talking jobs in a big way.
