Voice Description

Voice Work has never really felt like "work" to me.

When I was young, I would watch and listen as my Dad recorded his voice on a Reel-to-Reel tape recorder for "Ron Bailey School of Broadcasting". A few years later, using a portable cassette recorder, I would: interview my siblings, pretend I was calling a football game and also make believe I was on the radio doing weather forecasts during song intros. While my friends were playing with snakes and frogs, I was playing "Mr. Announcer". I was always fascinated with the faceless voices on the radio and TV; I knew this is what I wanted to do in life. Growing up I had the opportunities to meet and work with some of Seattle's Legendary Personalities. And yes, ultimately I became a radio personality (DJ) for 15+ years, everything from Jazz to Rock. The career also included voicing many radio promos and commercials for both radio and TV. My voice has been described as: Deep, calm, smooth, masculine, sexy, happy, energetic, intense, soft, powerful and easy to listen to.
