My Voice Experience

It all started with a College Diploma in Drama Arts, and the realization that my family goals meant I had to become something else.

Although I chose a specific career in metallurgy, that has always been in order to feed my family. With a wife and three kids, and three more planned, I needed a job that would guarantee my long term survival.

Voice acting happened after a few years of trying to figure out what I could do with my college diploma in Drama Arts. As a character actor, I loved being on stage, but I mostly loved being able to disguise myself. Voice work in general allowed me to disguise myself without having to worry about my physical appearance. So it was a wonderful thing to look into.

Back in 2004, I started auditioning online for various non-profit projects. I eventually ended up in several fan-dub associations, both in French and English, and have since contributed to over 40 projects in total. I've ventured out of the field of fan-dubbing and into original radio-type productions, narration, student project trailers and multiple other projects.

I can be heard in several of TFcog's Transformers fan dubs, as well as practically all of's projects (my own fan dubbing enterprise). I am also featured regularly in "Les Éditions de l'Avenir"'s projects, which include Audioplay adaptations of fan and professional novels for the blind, as well as their 50s styled "Le P.C. Show", a radio play in which I play three different characters.

My Training

I have a "Lettres: Profil Arts Dramatiques" diploma for College. The rest of my experience is self-learned as I have worked on various amateur projects for the last 8 years.

I do have a background in character animation (which is essential is reaching the proper energy for animated character delivery) which includes work with motion capture, computer animation and modelling.

I have also studied music for five years and understand how a good delivery is often linked to the proper rhythm.

My Studio Equipment

I have a portable home studio comprised of a Laptop which runs various audio software (Adobe Audition and a few personal favorites), a trusty and flexible Eurorack UB1202FX Mixer with a Samson pre-amped microphone. My recording room is ambient-noise / ambiance free and I know my way enough around voice effects and mixing to provide the post-production as a service.

Additional Skills

I am an enthusiastic animation fan. The nuts and bolts of a cartoon, be it traditional of computer animated, hold little if no secrets to me, so understanding directions that require this context is not an issue.

I am also an accomplished stage actor and have been keeping my craft in shape on the amateur scene, in improvisation leagues and summer plays. I record for audio projects on a bi-weekly basis and am also a fervent Audio-book consumer and critic, able to hear what to do and what not to do when providing only a voice over.

I'm available for rapid delivery and have yet to be in a project that required me to redo something more than once. What I submit as final product is what was called for, and sometimes, exceeds expectations.
