Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I can perform all kinds of accents including but not limited to Latino, French, Russian, Italian, British, Scottish, Irish, Australian, and Kiwi.
I can perform various characters including pirates (all kinds including a pretty good Barbossa-esque scalawag), a Russian spy, dusty old prospector, aloof German artist, and a Gollum-like creature.
I'm much stronger with character voices and accents but I can do some pretty solid impressions. These include but aren't limited to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Mouse, Barack Obama, Captain Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Moss (from The IT Crowd), John F. Kennedy, George W. Bush.
My Voice Experience
I've worked in radio production and recorded voiceovers for years. It wasn't until recently that I decided to branch out and freelance as an independent voiceover artist and I absolutely love it!
I’ve been involved in audio production since I was a teenager, learning Pro Tools on a simple audio interface connected to my home computer. My interest in the field stuck and I eventually pursued a career in radio. The station I’ve worked for since 2011 is an FM Christian Music station in Tampa, FL. I start my average workday early at 6am when the morning show goes on the air. I’m a sidekick/cohost to our main personality and coproduce the show with her. This includes your average in-break banter, live reads, taking calls, managing our web assets, and putting together and voicing news breaks. After the show I transition to handling the station’s web assets including all of our social media. Producing show elements, voice over, and graphic design are also part of my job.
My Studio Equipment
I do have soundproof, state-of-the-art studios at my disposal but I record my VO projects at home using the following gear: Rode NT-1a Microphone, Tascam USB audio interface, and Adobe Audition CC. I also have an acoustically treated room in an isolated part of my home specifically dedicated to recording.
Working as part of small staff at a major market FM radio station, I've had to employ a large variety of skills like social media marketing, website management including minor coding, audio editing and production, video recording and production, photography, comedy writing (for on-air bits and such), and (of course) voiceover work.
