Evan Lay

Fun, Energetic, Hard Sell, Young, Soprano

Voice Description

After many years of raining in the local theater I am able to modulate my voice for almost any need. For ads I can be energetic and fun. For blogs i can be conversational and relaxed. I have an arsenal of character voices from a nerdy scientist with a lisp to a sweet southern belle. Though naturally a soprano, I can lower my voice to any (female) range you need.

My Voice Experience

Starting at the age of 5 in my dad's radio studio, I've always loved being in front of the microphone. Or just being heard in general! At the same time, I was an avid member of the community theater in town. In college, I majored in Vocal Music Education and received 4 years of collegiate level vocal training, scoring nothing but excellence in all faculty juries. During college, I spent a year as a local on air personality for a local radio station which I had to end for student teaching. After spending a year as an impromptu math and science teacher, massive layoffs left me unemployed. Now I am returning to my first love, being heard. I am excited to get back in front of the mic and ready to do this full time!
